About Joe Me:

For some reason, the “About Me” page on most websites like this is written in the third person. While some people may have someone that knows them intimately enough to write a description of their life, I do not. I’ll save us the confusion and write in the first person.

I graduated from Princeton with the class of COVID-2020 with a degree in Economics and a minor in Computer Science. I spent my senior spring semester building out a van, with plans to travel around the country and explore photography and filmmaking full-time. About two weeks into my big adventure, I found myself in Grand Teton National Park intimidated by the goal I set for myself. I spent the next year in Jackson, Wyoming after a cold email allowed me the opportunity to work under Jimmy Chin and Chai Vasarhelyi, the Academy Award Winning Director’s of “Free Solo.” The next year, I moved back to my hometown of Seattle, working as a commercial AC, DP, and Editor with Mather McKallor and Ian Cohen.

Now, I live in Los Angeles, CA with my girlfriend, Sara, and my dog, Susie, where I continue to work in commercial and editorial photography. Feel free to reach out and say “Hello!”
